why should you....

Well appart from the fact your generous to start with,  its probably because you are supporting me as a friend and know this isn't going to be an easy ride for me. I have had heart surgery, and three children.... and more importantly, no running experience!!!

Don't get worried though, because theres more chance of me weeing en route than heart giving up... as the training is outing!!!!

If you are interested in what has got me into trainers, doing something i really don't care for...   Its Bolton Lads and girls club....

Andrew has used the childcare, youth club and adventure weekend services, which has seen him safe and cared for, as well as having a great time.

On a friday night, i would drop him and his mates off, with 40p each subs abd 50p spends... they would play football, wall climb, play pool and think they'd had a night out.

After school when he started secondary, he got the bus directly from school, paid a £1... could do his homework , join in activities and even have a hot meal for a bit extra... this is when we realised his talent for badmington. Anyone working... and with teenagers knows how hard it is to get them looked after, well at BLGC, they are, but don't realise it. I couldn't really have worked as a business analyst without that support.

He also went on adventure holidays, where he met other children from a cross of backgrounds and abilities and enjoyed real adventure, kayaking, jumping into whirl pools and youth hostelling. Not bad for a few quid... and really grateful was i for the opportunities he got as i was a single parent....

Both Andrew and Elizabeth have played football for BLGC , Andrew for under 12's and Elizabeth for boy's under 6'S

So i shall make my way round, faster than a few i suspect, but slower than a lot... and your support will lift my spirits....

Thanks so much

Sue x
