Scorpion Swim Team have been out of the water for over 6 months due to a little bug called COVID
The swimmers were buzzing to get 'Back in the Water' and decided they wanted to challenge themselves and also support one of their Team Mates who's mum is undergoing treatment for aplastic anaemia.
Kara's mum was diagnosed late last year with this rare disease and having gone through various treatments has now been told that she requires a Bone Marrow Transplant.
Kara uses her training as a release for her stress and a way to clear her head. The kids have been amazing. They researched the disease and the transplant as they had not heard of it before.
They are well up for the challenge as they now want to raise awareness for this lesser known register.
