Story
As many of you may know, in February my mum sadly died after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. In her memory I have decided to run the Hoka Highland Fling, with the goal to raise as much money as possible to help combat this terrible disease.
The Highland Fling is a 53 mile trail race following the West Highland Way, and this is not my first attempt. The first time I fell after 43 miles and broke my jaw in 5 places so was forced to pull out. The second time I had to pull out with only a few weeks to go due to an injury so I'm hoping it will be third time lucky!
Parkinsons UK are an amazing charity who are making great progress in their search for new treatments and ultimately a cure for this debilitating disease. If you can spare any donation to support their great work I would be immensely grateful.
Thank you for reading,
Susan.
