Story
My wonderful mother died suddenly four years ago this month of a catastrophic brain haemorrhage. For too many years she lived with uncontrolled high blood pressure and eventually this took its toll. I have not met anyone as kind and thoughtful, selfless and loving and I miss her every day.
I never thought I could run, let alone enjoy it…but two years ago, thinking of my mother, I decided I needed to get my heart in as good a condition as possible. With incredible encouragement from the family; particularly my three girls, I have reached a point when this run, (though scary), is possible. I will be running with Ellie and Eliza (Amy being on injury time out), but supported by all the family, and I would really appreciate your support to help me raise money to help prevent heart and circulatory disease.
I will be thinking of my dear mother on the run; her huge heart and patience; always ready with a hug, always ready with a story, always calm. She left us too early, and I hope in the future there will be more effective treatment to help people with her condition.
Thank you.
