My mother died from breast cancer aged 49 and because of this I was having regular checks . A routine mamagram in March 2011 revealed I had a 2cm breast cancer along with DCIS . I had to have a double mastectomy along with chemotherapy and reconstruction .I was terrified after watching my mother go through it all 17 years ago.  The care and treatment that i received from my consultant ,hospital staff and BUST was fantastic that a year after my recovery i joined the charity to help raise funds to purchase equipment to help future patients with breast cancer . I will be running the 10k again this year for the 3rd year  with my son Josh and my nieces Leanne and Natasha and my sister in law Anna so please sponsor us and help raise funds for BUST  your donation is very much appreciated .
