The Ayrshire Hospice is a local charity which provides outstanding quality care to patients with life limiting illnesses. Their aim is to make the patients as comfortable and pain free as possible. In order to provide this level of care to each and every patient they mainly rely on the funds from local fundraisers. To provide a full years worth of outstanding care it will cost £6.9 million - £4.4 million of that amount needs to be raised through voluntary donations and fundraisers. 

This year will see me complete my 2nd 13 mile midnight walk to raise money for the Ayrshire Hospice..a well deserved local charity close to my heart and the hearts of my family. Last January i lost my Auntie to cancer..she spent her final weeks in the care of the nurses at the hospice. In my personal opinion they couldn't have made her final weeks more comfortable, they couldn't do enough for her. After seeing first hand the care that is provided i knew that i had to do something to help so i signed up for the walk. I raised over £200 last year..thank you to each and every single person who sponsored me and helped support the hospice.
