In 2024 I completed the 6 World Marathon Majors in support of SurvivorsUK.  Having successfully completed Berlin, New York City, Tokyo, London, Chicago and Boston marathons I concluded the challenge with a victory lap around London in April 2024 6 days after Boston.

This is not the end of the challenge - the world majors are evolving and in a few years Sydney, Cape Town and Shanghai will be added to the challenge…so in the meantime I am carrying on running to raise awareness for SurvivorsUK

SurvivorsUK supports male and non-binary people who’ve been raped, sexually abused or assaulted. Every year in the UK, around 12,000 men are raped and 76,000 sexually abused or assaulted. It isn’t easy for survivors to talk about what’s happened to them: only 4% will ever do so. Of the few who do, it takes an average of 26 years to take that first step. 

Each 26 miles I run will be for those taking the first step  

SurvivorsUK have supported me through my journey to rediscovering myself and helping me to work through a sexual assault that happened 25 years ago. The healing continues, the work continues and now the giving back begins.
