Sunny Croft Home is based in Blurton that supports 5 young men with learning disabilities and complex needs to live as independently as possible. 

Whilst Robert, Martin, Mark, David and Joe all have their own disability to deal with, of which some are quite complex. They all, along with the support of their families and the care staff are very keen to support and raise funds for charities. We all feel that getting involved with community activities and being part of a fundraising team helps build relationships, supports communication skills, forges links within the local community and gives an overall feeling of wellbeing.  

Diane and Karen will be walking the full distance with four of the young men from Sunny Croft Home, either walking or in wheelchairs as part of a relay team with the support from a member of staff. 

Last year Diane ran the Potters Arf with Silverdale Running Club and everyone at the care-home all came together at the end of the race to see her finish and we really wanted to support them to be able to take part themselves this year.  “
