On September 11th 2014, myself and a group of Thomsons people will be rowing on a 'coxed four boat' from Oxford to London. We will be covering a distance of around 180Km including 44 locks.  We hope to complete this challenge within 3 days.  

I have never rowed before (like most of the team) and so we have set ourselves with a 10 week training schedule to undertake this challenging feat.  This is a huge task even for an experienced crew, but as Thomsons people, challenge everything is our forte!

These are some of the other types of events to complete the challenge:

• Running - The Wolf pack run – as a team, running the entire length of the Thames from Oxford to London. Some will run one bit or multiple bits.

• Cycling. By road or along the Thames Path, go on a mountain bike, road bike or even a Boris Bike ride. Some people are thinking of trying to take a train to oxford and cycling to London on Boris bikes in under 24 hours.

The challenge obviously involves raising money for good causes, please help us achieve our company target of £150 000. Each individual has a target of £500, the money raised can be donated either to Great Ormond Street Hospital our official sponsored charity or can be donated to a charity of your choice.
