Story

Thank you for visiting the Sunfield School Buildings Appeal page. We hope that you will give generously to our appeal. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Sunfield Children's Homes Limited (Registered Charity No.527552) will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please donate now!  (You can 'Give with Coinfidence' as Sunfield is a member of the Fundraising Standards Board).

Sunfield was established in 1930 and is today internationally renowned for its high quality innovative approaches to the education and care of children with severe and complex learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.

We deliver a wide range of services including 52 week education and residential care, day school placements, psychology & therapies, family services, and an outreach and assessment service. We also have a professional development centre, a research institute and we produce a range of publications.

We aim to provide the highest quality services and facilities for the children and their families / carers. As part of our development plans, we now aim to replace old deteriorating school buildings with new state-of-the-art classroom facilities which have been specially designed to meet the very specific needs of children with profound autism.

Our plans are in line with the recent Government strategy report ‘Building Schools for the Future’ (DfES 2004) but, as Sunfield is an independent not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity, we cannot gain government funding for this vital development, so we must seek funds from elsewhere.

The development will cost over £3million to complete and every penny will have to be raised through donations, so please help us by donating to this appeal.

Please also encourage your friends, relatives and business contacts to donate as well. You can do this via the link above (Tell a friend), which can be emailed to as many people as you like.

Thank you again for visiting this site and if you require any further information about the appeal or about the work of Sunfield please contact:
