Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!

On the 22nd December I will be running 5km to raise money for the charity Our Kids, who do fantastic work supporting children and young adults in post-war Bosnia, whose families are no longer able to care for them. 

In 2010 I visited the Egipatsko Selo orphanage in Mostar, Bosnia, as part of a school trip, which involved raising £1000 towards the charity. We were able to see first hand the great work that the charity does, as well as the impact our donations were able to make to the childrens' lives. The 5km run 'Five Years Running' is taking place to celebrate five years of rewarding trips to the orphanage, and to raise a generous Christmas donation for the kids.

It would be fantastic if you were able to help me raise a decent amount for the charity! :)

Some of the projects your donation will help to support include: 

-Maintaining 'Our House': a home set up by Our Kids for young women with learning disabilities, enabling them to build independent lives when they reach 18.

-Setting up and running a second hand clothing shop in Mostar town, providing both employment and independence.

-Working with local ministers to change policy and practice with regards to learning disabled adults leaving care at 18, who currently have no support systems in place.
