Story
Some of you may already know that I love a good trek. So I couldn't refuse when the opportunity came to help out a charity by doing something I love.
Trekking up Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales is not something I've done before, but the fact that it was on my list of things to do made me jump at the chance. Summit at Sunset with Ash will take place on September 18th. I am doing this to support a charity that plays a vital part in putting smiles on children's faces during a parents cancer. The Osbourne Trust has a mission to ensure every child living with a parent going through cancer can access emotional and practical support. All their support to families is provided free of charge and they fundraise throughout the year to make this happen.
I would appreciate it if you could support my trek and donate.
As Tesco would say "every little helps"
How Can Your Donation Help?
- A £10 donation can send Ozzy the Elephant teddy for cuddles and provide comfort to a child at home seeing a parent in and out of hospital for operations and cancer treatment.
- A £25 donation provides a support pack to each child, containing journals, reading books, flashcards and colouring books to support a child's emotional wellbeing.
- A £40 donation sends 2 children and an adult for some respite to the cinema, to have some time away from all that cancer can entail for a family.
- A £100 donation sponsors a family to access zip to 3 local activities so the children can have some me-time during a parents chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment
