Story
The Sullithon is a twenty-two hour non-stop “Scratch Concert” to help support the ‘Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal 2009 / 2010’ (The four charities supported are Pancreatic Cancer Research, Engineering Scholarships, St. Basil's, & WAITS). MusicOnStage.co.uk have arranged the performance of all thirteen Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, one after another, with only ten minute break separating each operetta!
Starting at 10.00am on the Saturday this marathon event takes approximately twenty-two hours to complete, finishing at approximately 8.00am on the Sunday morning.
Be part of the fun and join the audience throughout the day to see all or the parts that interest you the most.
This good cause is a repeat of the previous ‘Sullithon’ performed in 1990, which raised £12,000 for Children in Need. With it’s prominent position this year and a large supporting team and cast we are hoping to achieve far greater things this year.
