Story
”And they (righteous people) give food in spite of love for it, to the needy, the orphan and the captive, (Saying), We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.” (Surah Al-Insan)
Assalamu Alaikum,
Insha Allah I will be climbing Mount Helvellyn next Saturday with the Islamic Medical Society.
We are raising funds for a bakery in Al-Hudaydah, Yemen. This will support 300 families, 3 times a week. A bakery which will nourish hopes of a future without the clouds of imminent starvation. A bakery where a Yemeni father can work to source a income so that he provide for his family.
We will be raising these funds in memory of our beloved friend and brother, Yahya Adan, who was so passionate about our upcoming charity work, but never got the chance to fulfill his intentions. We pray Allah grants him an abundance of reward for his intentions and the highest levels of jannah.
Any donations, small or large are much appreciated to support the bakery and the local residents we are responsible for. Please share my story so we can raise as much money as possible.
Jazakallah Khair
