Suagrloaf to Snowdon · 12 July 2015

King’s has been named the 31st best university in the world and 5th best in the UK in the QS World University rankings 2026. As we look towards our 200th anniversary, King's vision is to make the world a better place through our excellence in teaching, research and service to society.

Story

Ten strapping young gentlemen from in and around the Brecon Beacons area are taking on the challenge of cycling from the Sugarloaf mountain, just outside Abergavenny, to the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon.

The journey is approximately 160 miles using both cycle routes and roads. We will start on Sunday 12th July and finish on Thursday July 16th, culminating in a climb of Snowdon itself.

We have set ourselves this challenge in order to raise money for the Crohns MAP vaccine. This is pioneering new research into a cure for Crohns disease. The research now needs funding to manufacture the vaccine and start human trials. Lots more information about Crohns MAP vaccine can be found at:

The money we raise goes directly to Kings College London where the research for the Crohns MAP vaccine is taking place. This fundraising account is linked to the Crohns fund within KCL.

This is a particularly significant issue to us as a group. We have all witnessed the effects Crohns disease can have on a persons life and I'm sure the thought of helping those suffering will spur us on in our last few miles.

We will be extremely grateful for any donations!
