Dave and I have big birthdays this year as most of you know, and to mark the occasions we are running the Manchester 10k on 26 May 2013. We must be absolutely mad because we are 2 of the most unfit people around!

Training started slowly and very very gently but we are determined to take part and complete the route and hoping for a respectable time.  We cannot compete with the invincible Tony Collier our Chairman, but we can support the same charity.

We are supporting 2 great causes - the Children's Adventure Farm Trust as this is my nominated charity as President of the Altrincham & Sale Chamber of Commerce and also the Anthony Nolan Trust in memory of two lovely local boys, Alex McGrory & Chris Brahney and their chosen charity the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust
