A yummy afternoon tea and supporting a great charity in one fabulous event.  What could be better?

Many of you know that in the spring of 2016 my immune system decided to have an epic battle with my hair follicles, and my immune system won.  In the space of 8 weeks I went from a full head of fine hair to virtually no hair at all.  It was extremely traumatic, I was confused and I felt that I became unfeminine.   I was terrified of people seeing me, and I had absolutely no idea how I was going to explain what had happened.... especially at work.  I really didn't cope well with the process of losing my hair.

Dealing with the trauma was made easier because of the support from the Alopecia UK.  

Now, five years on I know that alopecia doesn't own me - I own it!  

And I even volunteer at Alopecia UK so that I can help other people on their own Alopecia journey.

What we do

Alopecia UK is a small national charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through aims of Support, Awareness and Research.  Despite being a small charity we are still the largest alopecia charity in the UK with big ambitions to develop and grow further.
