Lyn's Sponsored Walk, 17 February 2012
We are the only UK charity wholly dedicated to helping everyone affected by lung cancer

Story

Thankyou for visiting my page.  I am fundraising for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation to support my sister Lyn.

Lyn was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in March 2011, having never smoked. Now nearly a year on, Lyn had made remarkable progress due to the wonderful chemotherapy drug called Iressa. This would not be possible without  research and development of new medicines for lung cancer. Lyn has dedicated her time by arranging  fundraising activities to support the 'Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation'. One of which is a 10 mile sponsored walk over Cannock Chase on 10 June, 2011.

Did you know that there are 39,000 new cases each year of lung cancer in the UK; 10% of those diagnosed have never smoked. More women die from lung cancer in the UK than  breast or cervical cancers but does not have the same amount of funds allocated to it for  drugs/medicines/research!  If you have lungs then you too could get lung cancer.

Please could you dig deep and donate £1.00 towards this wonderful and much needed cause; your generous donations are greatly appreciated.

Thankyou. X
