Story
Thank you very much for visiting my JustGiving page. This year I have signed up for two swims to support Aspire.
The first is a swim across Lake Bala, or to use its proper name 'Llyn Tegid' in June. This is a beautiful lake set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. The swim is 3 miles (5.5km) in a deep dark lake which tends to be quite cool and subject to windy, choppy conditions!
The second swim is four miles at the Outdoor Swimmer Henley Swim Festival in July - this involves swimming a mile along the River Thames then clambering out and walking back to the start to do the same thing again, and again, and again. I'm not looking forward to the clambering out and walking back along the towpath!
Aspire provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, supporting them from injury to independence. This charity does some amazing work and makes such a difference to people’s lives.
