Story
In 2022 I will be taking on the challenge of a lifetime - trekking the Inca trail. This trip has been postponed twice due to Covid but it's looking like "Peru 2022" (as I have decided to name it) will hopefully go ahead.
My challenge is to climb 4,200 m (aka very high altitude and possible altitude sickness) across tough, challenging terrain. This means camping for 5 nights, very basic facilities, open to the elements (not to mention spiders and snakes!) It also means I need to get in shape so that I don’t hold everyone else up! My goal is to lose 1.5-2 stone in time for the main event. So please dig deep if you can help, as every penny will help to motivate me further knowing it will go towards helping Myton Hospices and their patients.
I have chosen to self-fund, so EVERY SINGLE PENNY of your donation will be put to good use and very much appreciated by this organisation, particularly at the moment when their fundraising efforts have been limited.
Having had close relatives and friends receive end-of-life care, I know how vital this is and how valued it can be for carers and close family. So please, if you can afford to donate, however small, rest assured your money will be used to provide the best levels of care for others at a time when they really need it.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
