I have made a choice to request there is no collection for my retirement, no gifts are needed my memories of 34 years as a midwife training at Hedon Road Maternity Unit, then working at Beverley Westwood,Castle Hill Hospital and Women and Children's Hospital and finally as a community midwife are sufficient.

However if you would like to make a contribution my chosen charity is the 'House of Light'. This is local, set up by one of our midwives who I had the pleasure to work with. 

The charity provides an invaluable service supporting local women and their families through antenatal and postnatal depression, something I feel passionate about and have experienced myself at a time when little support was available.
