FURTHER UPDATE!!!!
I DID IT!!!!
But......... I don't think I'll be doing it again in a hurry. The freefall was an experience I will never forget and one that is difficult to describe. The parachute descent was MUCH nicer and over much too quickly.
Thank you all SO much for your support. If you haven't donated yet there's still time. I will keep this page open for a while.
UPDATE!!!
The weather was awful on Saturday (you probably noticed) and the jump was postponed - to this Monday 31 May! No time for me to have second thoughts and opt out! Weather forecast is OK for Monday, so - all being well - it will happen before the end of May.
AND, of course, there is still time for you lovely people out there to sponsor me!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You will probably know by now that I am going to do something crazy. I'm going to jump out of a plane at 12,000 feet. The parachute deploys at 5,000 feet. That's 7,000 feet freefall! I'm not so crazy that I'm doing it on my own; I'm doing a tandem jump with a fully qualified person. I think my class want me back after the half term! All this is in aid of our link, through PLAN UK, with a school in Kisumu, Kenya.
