Sue Cook with Greg (Holy Trinity Tattoo Studio, Standish) and Cosmo (New Testament Tattoos, Leyland) Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer I asked people to sponsor me as I shaved my head for charity, without understanding just how much even the smallest donation adds to the bigger picture. Now as a cancer survivor I am more aware of the importance of fundraising for charities like Cancer Research UK. Because of the armies of wonderful fundraisers, public donations and the amazing research scientists I am still here. I am one of the lucky ones, invited onto trials, but it can't stop here; I want more and more people to be able to say "I am a survivor". So to raise awareness and hopefully raise more money for CRUK I have decided to transform my scars into beautiful body art with the help of Greg at Holy Trinity Tattoo Studio, Standish and Cosmo at New Testament Tattoos, Leyland and hope that you will sponsor us.Although some of you reading this don't know me personally, many of you will have been affected by this brutal disease. You may have already lost someone close to you, or know someone who is battling still. On a happier note you may know someone who has won the battle. The odds are changing, we know its a marathon not a sprint; but together we can make a difference. I was privileged to visit the new Cancer Research Centre in Manchester where I saw the state of the art labs and spoke to some of the amazing scientists who are at the heart of the cutting edge research that your donations make possible. Their work has a very real and meaningful impact so please donate whatever you can.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
