I'm really proud to be on the Board of Trustees at Lancashire Mind. It's a privilege to volunteer my time for such an important local charity and I love working with people who are all passionate about achieving our aim of 'mental wellbeing for all'.
Many of the staff team, trustees and volunteers have lived experience of mental health conditions or have seen the impact that poor mental health has had on loved ones.
The Lancashire Mind Breaking Boundaries challenge, recently launched in Mental Health Awareness Week, is to walk/run/bike the equivalent of the palatine of Lancashire's boundaries, a total of 417 miles! But don't worry, it's a collective target so you can walk/run/bike as little or as much as you like. It all counts!
The challenge spans two weeks from 30 May to 13 June 2020 and, to do my bit, I will be walking 5k each day. That's roughly the equivalent of 43.5 miles towards the target of 417 miles.
I'm aiming to raise a total of £10 for each mile I walk. If I achieve it, that will be £435 towards Lancashire Mind's Breaking Boundaries target of £4170.
I do understand that dosh may be tight right now. However, if you can, maybe you'd like to sponsor each mile I walk. For example:
5p per mile = donation of £2.17
10p per mile = donation of £4.35
20p per mile = donation of £8.70
40p per mile = donation of £17.40
Or feel free to donate any amount you wish from a penny upwards!
Many thanks x
