Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will know, our lovely Mum, Carys died in August 2021 with tremendous grace and dignity. She was diagnosed with MND in April - with hindsight she had had subtle, but progressive symptoms for about three years. She was a lively, energetic, sparkly human being who had a huge amount still to give. She spent her adult life teaching and in retirement continued to give freely of her time to help improve the lives of individuals both in the UK, around the world and her local community.

During her final months she received a huge amount of support from the MND association and her local MND specialist team. I feel extremely lucky (and a little terrified) to have been given a place to take part in the London Marathon 2022, as part of team MND and to raise money for this amazing organisation. We experienced first hand that It is not a kind disease. That's why I'm delighted to be able to raise money to fund research into finding a cure to improve the lives of others and to continue Mum's legacy of giving.

It would make me so happy if you'd consider making a donation to this truly worthwhile cause. Thank you.
