Story
I have just turned 60 and have realised that doing things for others give more me pleasure than doing things for myself. Every life is precious however disabled the person is. The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital already provides world class cutting edge care to all its patients. I would like to make my small contribution to the ROH charity which provides equipment and support to patients which the NHS is unable to provide. I would like to make my contribution to this even if it involves me personally going through some physical pain.
To that effect, starting on 20/03/2022, I have run 4 full marathons (Los Angeles, Paris, Milton Keynes & Copenhagen) and 3 half marathons (Magna Carta, Kew gardens & Birmingham) in my 61st year. I have yet to run another half marathon which I will be doing in August/ September to complete the challenge. This should complete the challenge of running equivalent of 6 full marathons in 6 months.
I hope you will be generous enough to support me once more and in turn support my cause and help me to reach my target. Thank you for your contributions which will directly go to The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
