Story
Life is but a series of chapters, shaped by circumstance and opportunity. Traversing from one to another can be challenging, painful and traumatic: how you deal with and adapt to the ride is the key.
On balance, life has been good; it has been bad; it has been average. I have reached dizzying heights and sunk to unfathomable lows. This story is about my life long journey to heal mind, body and soul: dealing with chapters past, challenging this chapter, to help support chapters of the future.
Providing a range of welfare support for serving and former RAF personnel and their families, the RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) provides the heart and mind to the Royal Air Force family to help members deal with and adapt to life change. The RAFBF delivers welfare breaks for families and veterans, mobility grants to combat disability, benefits and care services advice and support for young people through the Airplay programme. The RAFBF is mindfulness in action, and cycling the 970 miles from Lands End to John O Groats is my commitment to supporting them.
