Story
Girl Scouts promise to make the world a better place.
Through opportunities to explore their unique interests and develop critical leadership skills, 23,000 local girls seek challenges, grow in confidence, improve their communities, and plan a better tomorrow for us all.
Girl Scouts San Diego's dynamic programs are more critical than ever. During this difficult time, we are determined to continue pursuing our important mission through the Power Her Promise campaign. We are using this time to build resiliency, understanding, and courage in the next generation of leaders.
Girl Scout Troops in the Imperial Valley have continued to meet virtually during the pandemic. Even more impressive is the actions they have taken to make good on their promise to make the world a better place. Local girls have adjusted and kept on working toward badges and taking action in their community. Among several other projects they have;
- donated school supplies to foster children.
- sewed and distributed masks to agricultural workers, healthcare workers and other front-line employees.
- collected and organized donations from the community for victims of a devastating fire in Niland, Ca.
- participated in a National Letter Writing campaign.
Please give generously to the Power Her Promise campaign so all girls have the opportunity to join Girl Scouts, realize their potential, and fulfill their Girl Scout Promise. These girls are our future, and we have the power to make it bright!
