At Benchmark, we feel passionately about supporting charitable causes in our community and following a staff poll, we are pleased to be able to partner with Chestnut Tree House in 2022.

Story

At 5 months old, our son Alfie started to become unwell. After many weeks in hospital, he was heartbreakingly diagnosed with Gauchers Disease Type 2 - a rare genetic disorder for which there is no treatment. It is a rapidly progressing disease and on 14th February, at 7 months old, Alfie passed away at Chestnut Tree House Hospice. Chestnut Tree House helped us enormously through Alfie's final days, and continue to provide bereavement support to our family. On the 16th July ‘Team Alfie’ will be mountain biking 60km across the South Downs to raise money for Chestnut Tree House. We are very grateful for any donations you can make to this fantastic charity. Love, Camilla, James & Team Alfie
