But seriously, Positive East has been at the forefront of HIV service and care for 30 years. It supports over 4000 people each year, it’s services including counselling, support groups, an advice line, a health and wellbeing program, outreach work and free HIV testing. 

Despite improving HIV awareness, stigma and discrimination are a fact of life for many. Funding for the sexual health sector has been drastically cut for many years, and in East London the rate of HIV diagnosis is much higher than the national average.
