Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've never, ever done anything like this before.  I'm not one for running marathons, or jumping out of aeroplanes (I can't, and I won't.  In that order) or all that sort of lark.  Three years ago attempting this challenge would probably have actually killed me stone dead, such was my lifestyle.

And don't get me wrong, it still might...

There are 38 floors, each with around 27 steps.  I'm told there are 1,037 steps in total so presumably at some point some bonus steps have been thrown in for me to swear at loudly, and I intend to run this, not walk it, as much as I possibly can.  I'm putting that on here for you all to see, and will be going for a decent time too.

Now I've never asked any of you for money before (caveat: that I didn't then immediately go and spend on drink), and I like to think I always spare something when asked to donate to charitable events people I know are involved in, so I'm not going to try and hard sell or beg here.

I'm just going to say . this is the most important thing you can ever ever sponsor anyone for in your life, and if you don't then I will disown you and shame you publicly by name on social media for everyone to see.

(I won't)

(Or I might)

(Are you willing to take that risk though?)

(Brackets)

Seriously, I really don't need to sell the charity that this is all in aid of to any of you - you all know how I feel about the cause - but I'm going to anyway.  I'm just one small part of an absolutely incredible team of volunteer counsellors at ChildLine, and the NSPCC, of which ChildLine is part, do so much, every single minute of every single day, to prevent the abuse of children and young people in this country and to help those who have been affected to recover.

I honestly cannot thank you enough for absolutely anything you can spare for this cause.
