Story
Have you ever just sat there one cold Wednesday night and thought “wouldn’t 2022 be a great year for a charity challenge or two?”
Nope….. maybe that’s just me and why I’m now embarking on this crazy journey with Macmillan
The Why
A few years back we lost my Grandma and Grandad to cancer, in both cases it was unexpected and sudden and so difficult losing them both. This is my way of remembering the memory of my Gran and Grandad, I know they would be proud of me but also suggest I’m a little mad and would definitely say “well Stuart you be careful mind” I can hear my grandma saying that now.
Supporting Macmillan Cancer Support will make sure they are there to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial, work and emotional support.
The Mission
5 EPIC challenges of cycling, running, swimming, hiking and golfing.
From the east to the west, from the south to the north and to the highest point on land in the UK, covering a mammoth 1,370 miles and climbing a staggering 83,000 feet this really will be the true test of endurance.
April 16th - 17th - C2C2C in 2 days
May 13th - 15th - National 3 Peaks in 24 hours

June 19th - The Northumbrian

July 26th - 100 holes of golf in a day
September 10th - 18th - The Ride Across Britain

Hopefully I’ll have a few friends join me along the way, I’ll take all the encouragement and support I can get.
We’ll be doing all the hard work, your parts easy just help support us along the journey in whatever way you can.
What the money can do
£20 could help run the Macmillan Online Community for over an hour, helping 111 people affected by cancer to connect with each other.
£100 could provide coping skills to someone living with cancer by paying for them to attend a health and well-being event.
£240 could help pay for a Macmillan nurse providing medical, practical and emotional support for 1 day.
My pledge
For every kilometre I cover in training and challenges I’ll give back 1p…… there’s gonna be a lot of KM’s during 2022, along with doing all the kilometres that’s my commitment to help raise funds for Macmillan….
Now I just need yours please

Thank you so much for all your support it means so much to me and many others and thank you for supporting Macmillan. It will allow them to give people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are their worries. They’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help they can’t support everyone who needs them. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.

Note for the IRONMAN part of the challenge;
30% of the value of the sponsorship (not including Gift Aid) that I collect (up to the cost of my entry fee) will be reimbursed. This means that Macmillan receives the benefit of 70% or more of my sponsorship.
