Winter Project...........
In addition to this end of season maintenance and development of the Race Car’s..... I’d like to take this opportunity to announce the proposed build of a “Brand New’ F1 car but with a slight difference….! It will be a Recreation of my Fathers,s Yellow Hertz Sponsored F1 which is the missing car out of all his old vehicles......
This car will be built in the Old Skool format at Team Smith Motorsport as a Heritage Car to celebrate the successful Racing Career of our late father Stuart Smith Senior.
The idea was forwarded to us by one of our sponsors, Mark Calzoni, owner of Simmonites Land Rover to Build a New/Old car and recreate the old yellow Hertz car that no longer exists.
Therefore, with the help of our father’s fans, we now have the task of recreating this iconic vehicle and as near as possible to the original.
That’s the basics then….! The build, you will be able to follow the progress on the Facebook page and website. Plus, any pictures and details anyone may have on the original would be much appreciated.
Lastly -
The NEW Hertz car also has a further TWIST to it....! The biggest incentive we have towards it is to RAISE MONEY for a good cause, The British Heart Foundation as Stuart Smith Snr passed away from a related illness........, so politely we are asking for donations to the charity.
Donations can be given via our attached PayPal section, by cheque or Bank Transfer.
Our aim is to RAISE FUNDS during the build and at future meetings where the car will often be on display, again with the hope that our supporters and fans will donate to this worthwhile charity.
