Welcome and thank you for visiting my page, please don’t go without reading on.
What I’m going to do
As soon as restrictions allow, myself and 2 others will still fly ourselves to Corsica in an attempt to compete the GR20, Corsica. Considered one the toughest trails in the world at 190km long, with 13,500m of accumulative ascent (Everest 8,848m) and used as part of the French Foreign Legion selection process. Usually a recommended 14-day trek, we aim to do it within 7 days or quicker. This isn’t something we have attempted before, so will be doing a great deal of build-up training before-hand.
Why I’m doing it
Many reasons drive me to support those that need help. Having served now for almost 24 years and like many of the people I know, I have lost friends to conflict, suicide and seen others struggle due to stress, problems and mental health issues. Last year was difficult, losing a very close friend. Gibbo, an amazing soldier, dad and husband.
In these unprecedented times, serving personnel, veterans and their families sometimes need help. Injured soldiers requiring rehabilitation to homeless Veterans that need a roof over their head. Suicide prevention and Mental Health support has become focus.
I know these are difficult times for all, but if I could please ask you to donate and help raise these much needed funds, so the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal can continue to provide relief and support to personnel, veterans and their families that need it most.
Thank you for staying, it’s really appreciated. Every penny will really matter.
Warm regards Scotty.
