Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Although thankfully my family have not been affected it did take the life of John, one of my work colleagues, a few years ago. In his memory, many of those who worked for him are raising money to help fund Plymouth University's Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence.

A couple of years back my good friend Chris asked if I was interested in doing End to End. I didn't realise it wasn't on my bucket list so stupidly found myself saying yes! My inspiration of what charity to raise money for was sealed when I watched last years Channel 4 Stand Up to Cancer campaign. Mark told his story of how he lost his wife to breast cancer. Five years later Mark lost his 10 year old son Robbie to a brain tumour. Watch it on: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/stand-up-to-cancer-personal-stories/on-demand/64923-001

I hope you watch Mark's story and you are moved to donate and be part of the solution in fighting the fight to help turn the tables against this tragic disease.
