Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Every year, I subject my poor old bones to yet another long distance trek. I always follow the ancient paths of the pilgrims of old. Normally these are in Europe and have taken me to the three main pilgrimage sites, namely Santiago de Compostela, Rome and Jerusalem.
They have given me a new lease on life since I retired nearly 8 years ago. I want to capitalise on my new found fitness and ask that you think about a poor old 70 year old, walking almost 800 miles - in one go. And on top of that - you get the opportunity to read of my day-to-day encounters in my daily blog (The Man in the Blue Blazer on Facebook - or - send me your email address and I personally deliver a copy to your email inbox).
I am suffering for my chosen charity - Childline (run by the NSPCC) - and now it's your turn. This goes to help abused and neglected children. They need all the help they can get from people like you and me. So - please reciprocate my gestures - and give till it hurts - but don't stop there.
As the famous sports shoes manufacturer says - "Just Do It". You know you can...
