Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Me and my brother (Stuart & Ross AKA Danny & Joe) are going to attempt the Scottish Half Marathon on Sunday 24th September 2023 in support of the Oddballs Foundation. Our aim is to raise further awareness for testicular cancer.
In November 2022 after discovering a small lump, I received the dreaded news that I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Two weeks later I had surgery to remove the tumour and in early January underwent a one off round of chemotherapy to reduce the chances of the cancer returning.
Happy to report that my recent checkup was all good and I would like to thank the incredible treatment I received from all the NHS staff, from my initial ultrasound scan and examination at Haddington Community Hospital to the treatment received at Western General Hospital Edinburgh. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for myself and family, but they have all been amazing throughout!!!
Lads, make sure you know your nuts by checking regularly and go to the GP ASAP if you have any concerns!
The OddBalls Foundation is doing amazing work to raise awareness of testicular cancer! Testicular cancer is the most common cancer to affect men between the ages of 15-49, and early detection makes it one of the most curable cancers.
We would be grateful for any donations. Thanks
