As some of you may be aware, my dad recently had 28 weeks of chemotherapy to treat Amyloidosis.

I am raising money for UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund which researches into the different strains of Amyloidosis and possible future treatments.
The disease is caused by a build up of amyloid protein fibres in tissues and organs throughout the body, but can be very difficult to diagnose due to its rarity and non-specific symptoms and it is believed that because of this, Amyloidosis is largely under-diagnosed.

To raise this money I am taking part in the BUPA Great Manchester 10k run on the 26th May 2013. As last year, in a shameless attempt to raise more money I am doing it in fancy dress, going with the most popular outfit suggested by anyone who sponsors me - the most popular suggestion was St Trinians

All donations to the UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund are GREATLY appreciated and THANK YOU so much to you all for the support.
Thanks again!!
Stuart
