Story
After years of sitting by watching (& maybe donating a few quid here or there to) friends and colleagues all over the world running up 5ks/10ks/marathons, climbing hills and generally knocking their pan in for charity, I've decided to bite the bullet and do the Glasgow Men's 10k on Sunday 21st of June
I've got less than 2 months to get myself off the couch or bar stool and get some exercise, so that I can at the very least walk the damn thing.
I'm doing it in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity. My cousin-in-law Ian Taylor (husband of my amazing cousin and father to two of my gorgeous nieces) - he had two brain tumours last year and sadly passed away.
So far Jackie and her big sis, the equally amazing Lesley Hitrof have raised over £7.5k and apart from buying a few calendars and doing a couple Burns Suppers, I thought I should put a bit more effort in - so here goes
At the minute I am the unhealthiest, least fit and heaviest I've ever been - so trust me this is a huge challenge - so I'm doing it for me as much as I am for the charity
I KNOW YOU GET ASKED ALL THE TIME FOR CHARITY SUPPORT, but trust me anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
