I'm taking part in The Great Big Bike Ride 2011 in aid of Severn Hospice. It's a way of combining my steadily increasing respect for pedal power and raising money for a organisation who's tireless work brings comfort and support to those suffering from progressive illness and their families when they need it the most. Indeed, they were there for my family in 2010 when my nephew Joel Lawrence passed away at such a young age.

Before his death Joel asked us to raise funds for projects within the Hospice that would encourage more people to use it and provide equipment that would be beneficial to patients and their families.
