Invesco supports Dementia UK
Campaign by Dementia UK (RCN 1039404)
We're proud to support our new charity partner, Dementia UK as voted for by our colleagues. Dementia UK is the only UK charity caring for people with dementia and their families, with their specialist dementia Admiral Nurses.

Story

We are the Sterling Assets (Lewis Aubrey-Johnson, Tom Hemmant, Mike Matthews, Stuart Edwards) from the Henley bond team, committed to raising money for Dementia UK (Invesco's Charity of the Year). On Friday Sept 23rd we will be taking part in the Invesco Thames Challenge, a 90km journey over 3 stages, starting from our Henley office at 6.00 am and finishing at our Portman Square office in London for a well earned beer or two.

  • Stage 1 – Canoe 9km – Invesco Henley to Hurley Lock
  • Stage 2 – Cycle 69km – Hurley Lock to Barnes
  • Stage 3 – Walk/Run 12km - Barnes to Invesco Portman Square

The markets have been far too hectic for us to have time for any sensible prep so we expect this to be a decent challenge and hope to run the final stage.

Thanking you kindly in advance for your support and any contributions you give to this very worthwhile cause.

Cheers

Mike, Tom, Lewis and Stu

We've setup this sponsorship page through Just Giving (where donations will be quickly processed, passed to charities and gift aid will be claimed on the charity's behalf). More importantly, Invesco will match ALL donations pound for pound!

Dementia UK is the only specialist dementia nurse charity.

There is no cure for dementia. But there is care. And care can change lives. That's why Dementia UK is here. Our specialist dementia nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. This support has been needed more than ever throughout the pandemic which has left thousands of families isolated, bereaved and in despair.

Every penny raised through our partnership will help provide a lifeline to those who need it.
