We raise money for research, care & support to help cancer patients get the best care.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please support me as I attempt to run the Bupa Great Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 21st October. Look out for Scooby Stu running amongst the 15,000 other runners live on Channel 5 from 10.10am!!!! I hope to be in the top three Scooby Doo's to finish the race!!!! Paws crossed!

There is a personal reason why I have decided to raise money on this occasion as my Father-In-Law Mally is currently receiving Radiotherapy treatment for cancer at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

Some of you will already know Mally's story, he has recently been diagnosed with Occular Melanoma for a second time.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS specialist cancer treatment facilities in the UK. Based in Wirral, the Centre currently serves a population of 2.3 million across our region and the North West.

The money raised will help the Centre to offer the most up to date treatment, support vital research, treat patients with world class equipment and provide life-changing support services that would otherwise be unavailable.

Both myself and my wife Fiona will be grateful if you could make a donation, however big or small, so that we can support the continued work of the Centre.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
