Story
Three mere mortals united by their love of Parkrun and taking on perhaps the biggest challenge of their lives. Running and raising money for the incredible charity that is Coram - an organisation that has been going for over 280 years, working to improve the lives of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people.
Stuart Grant: A CEO by day and perhaps the most experienced runner, Stuart could very well be considered the "gazelle" of the group. His slender (aka gangly) physique and competitive spirit means he's taking this all very seriously. Very seriously indeed.
Expect: Strada conversations (yawn) and discussions around why Nike Vaporfly's have changed his life and why wearing them does not mean he's cheating.
Jon Kersey: A teacher by day and the only member of the group to have previously completed the London Marathon, Jon could be considered the Lion of the group (alas let down by the absence of a shiny mane). The steady Eddie of the group and the one most likely to impress on the day.
Expect: Derby County tantrums and conversations around the correct insertion of apostrophes in sentences (yes sir, sorry sir).
Dix Bromley: A Sales Director by day, Dix has perhaps arguably the most raw talent of the group but is let down very occasionally by beer, curries, cigarettes and poor trainers. The (three legged) cheetah of the group and the athlete that never was.
Expect: Shin splints, expletives, and discussions around compression socks and chafing.
