The past year has been difficult for many, so were aiming to reach as many people experiencing loss as possible. We want to take away some of the tough things that come with losing a loved one, so that families can focus on the most important - love.

Story

Happy Birthday to me - I have now turned 44 !

When I turned 40, I didn’t think I must do this, I must do that, to be honest I always had 44 in my head as the next major birthday milestone. I’ve always been quite nervous about turning 44, for most people it’s just another birthday which most people reach.

However, for me, my Mum sadly passed away at this age, so I’ve never taken turning 44 for granted.

This year to celebrate turning 44, I want to make the most of it as there is always somebody nearer with greater challenges. Therefore, I have signed up to run the London Marathon in aid of the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope, which is where my Mum spent her final days.

Manorlands is a special place where they help to take away some of the tough things that come with losing a loved one, so that families can focus on spending precious final moments together.

With only one shot at life, you need to make the absolute most if it !

Please help me celebrate by giving a little back to those who need our help more.
