Story
Like so many people, our family has been affected by cancer.
I lost my wonderful mother, Stella, to cancer. Although she had beaten this awful disease 25 years earlier, it came back with a vengeance and took her from us way too early. Stella spent her life caring for other people, having been a nurse, mother, grandmother and friend. She is still greatly missed and has left a huge hole in our lives. However, like Stella, I am a hugely positive person and although a 26 mile hike is no mission impossible, every penny raised for this fantastic charity is a positive step.
Macmillan cancer support is a wonderful charity that has been set up to help and support both cancer sufferers and their families. I have set a target of £500.00, but of course I am hoping to smash that. Even if you can donate a £1, it would be greatly received. I am walking the 26 mile hike with a few friends on 7th June 2019.
Reading this, you may even wish to join us. If you do fancy it, you are more than welcome. Either way, I would greatly appreciate your support.
Many thanks,
Stu
