Story

In May 2018 the world became a darker place, my best pal Matthew Burns lost his 2-year battle with Cholangiocarcinoma (Bile Duct Cancer) dying at the age of just 41.

Matt was one of the good guys - a true friend, a great husband, an amazing father and loving son. This horrid, and unforgiving disease has left Matt's wife Jo and their three children Noah, Martha and Jude to try and pick up the pieces and battle bravely on.

In honour of Matt, I've gathered a crew of merry MAMILS (Myself, Simon & James Bailey, Chris Templeman and Andrew Tuff)to take on the challenge of cycling Wales ‘End to End’ The challenge takes place on August 15th 2019 with the aim of cycling the length of the Wales in 3 days, starting in Anglesey and finishing in Matt’s hometown of Cardiff – This will be approx. 260 miles with 27,000 feet of hills along the way! In doing this challenge we’re hoping to raise awareness and sponsorship for the AMMF. This charity provides information and support to those who need it, campaigns to raise awareness of this devastating disease, and encourages and supports specialised research teams in their work towards better diagnostic techniques and treatments and, ultimately a cure. AMMF is the only UK charity dedicated to Cholangiocarcinoma.

Please make a donation if you can for this very worthy cause to help AMMF on their mission
