Boaz was born back in 2007 as a place where adults with learning disabilities could come, do horticultural work, be valued for their contribution and accepted for who they are as people. 

Over the years a community of active volunteers, aged from 9 to 93 has grown up to support our members working and learning together. Growing plants, keeping chickens, processing eggs, cooking meals and making crafts and woodwork items for sale. Day to day running costs are covered by fees paid by members, but to keep the place in good repair and to improve facilities costs money.  The virus has also knocked things out of balance.

This is why Boaz is looking to boost funds for people, plants and poultry. To financially help people who cannot afford to come but who would like to attend, to renovate our composting arrangements to keep fertilizer costs down and to refurbish our chicken houses so we can continue to produce and sell high quality eggs.
