We were overwhelmed when our gorgeous daughter was able to benefit from all The Wave Project do. Last year she was able to surf using an adapted board at Croyde. Not only did they let her use the adaptive board, she was able to use the beach wheelchair and also they would take down another board for her to sit on when she was too cold or tired. The guys who volunteer for the project are mind-blowing; people who have responsible, difficult time-consuming careers were willing to give up their Sundays to allow children with disabilities to access the water and surfing. We cannot praise the whole network enough. Just the adaptive boards cost over £1000, they only have 1 and so they can only offer one child with a physical disability a slot each 6 week session and at each surf club. Wouldn't it be amazing to contribute towards another board?
