Story
So.... as you may be aware, there is a 184 miles footpath that runs the length of the River Thames, from Gloucestershire in the west to the Thames Barrier in the east.
We have split the path into six 30 mile sections and teams will be walking each section in one day. That's 4 miles further than a marathon and amounts to about 12 hours walking in total per person. That's no mean feat... (pun very much intended!)
We are a team of 9: Donna, Julie, Carol, Tina, Zoe, Ellie, Martin, Neil and Evie.
Zoe and Tina's dad sadly passed away due to complications arising from stroke. Tina has worked on the Stroke Unit at Frimley Park for 17 years, and Zoe also worked there for several years, so this is very much a cause close to their hearts and to those of us teaming up with them on this challenge.
All donations - small, medium or large - are gratefully received and will go directly to improving the environment and facilities on the Stroke Unit for patients and their families during the time they spend at Frimley Park Hospital. Our goal is to raise £150 each which gives us a team target of £1,350.
