Keta's Journey - Godalming Boozy Half Marathon
Fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association
Fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association
In preparation for the Marathon du Medoc in September 2025, the second "training" Boozy Half Marathon took place on 15 February when 30 hardened Northern runners battled the freezing rain, hills and refreshing pubs of Sheffield - MND Fundraising was the winner with kind donations received from generous strangers!
This followed the first Boozy Half in Godalming last September when 40+ runners successfully achieved, in both disciplines, in autumnal sunshine.
Keta died on 27 January 2019 from Motor Neurone Disease. She was more than ready to go and retained her humour to the end. She is a legend, adored by us all.
Following Keta's diagnosis in 2014, our family and friends were determined that her courageous and smiling 5 year fight against this awful disease helped others impacted in the same way. We therefore participate regularly in events to raise money for MND research (still to find the cause, let alone a cure) and to support other families experiencing the same.
We would be extremely grateful for any donations.
Many thanks.
Hebe, Violet + Kevin (magnificently supported by Neil + Matt)
